St. Gregory the Theologian in Mansfield, serves the faithful Orthodox Christians, recent converts and interfaith families within the 495/95 corridor in South Eastern Massachusetts. Our parish has had the pain of recently losing our beloved longtime priest, Fr. Michael Bird to cancer this past summer. But with that pain comes healing and through the blessing of Met. Methodios of Boston, our new priest Fr. Ted Toppses helped us through this sorrow and brought to mind the realization and significance of the Resurrection and life in Christ.

Many images come to mind of our Holy Week at St. Gregory, but one of the most beautiful and significant images was that on Holy Thursday in which our High School students chanted the entire beautiful and moving service of the Passion of our Lord. There was not a dry eye in the church. On Holy Friday, our youth participated in a retreat with many crafts, lessons and a passion play performed by our upper grades of our Church School. We also had an amazing gift of seeing two catechumens welcomed into the Body of Christ and the Orthodox Church on Palm Sunday.
