Holy Week 2015: Annunciation Cathedral - Chicago, IL
With much love and great zeal the Annunciation Cathedral Family of Chicago celebrated Holy Week with their new parish priest, Rev. Fr. Stamatios G. Sfikas.
The week of our Lords Passion and ultimate and glorious Resurrection was truly a spiritual rejuvenation for all of our faithful. This year the parish had the blessing of processing the Epitaphios outside in front of the Church which is located in the “Old Town” neighborhood of the city of Chicago. This was the first time in the history of the Cathedral that this was done. The stewards along with our visitors and neighbors truly felt the blessings of this unique experience.
Our week at the Cathedral ended with the Anastasis service with His Eminence Metropolitan Iakovos of Chicago presiding.
It was truly an uplifting week for all who witnessed it with us!
