Holy Week and Pascha 2013: Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Modesto, CA
It is the Feast of feasts...The Resurrection of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ! The Christian Orthodox people of God know it as "Pascha!" The faithful of the Annunciation Church in Modesto, California pray that the Light of our Risen Lord may fill your heart and soul with love, kindness and well being.
We have experienced the beautiful services of Great Lent and Holy Week and for forty days we experience the glorious Resurrection. May we remember to greet one another during this time with the Paschal greeting: Christ is Risen!
We were blessed to have two seminarians during Holy Week and Pascha: Daniel Triant and Aaron Gilbert. Their participation in the Divine Services of Holy Week and Pascha, along with the participation in visitations and the youth retreat on Holy Friday were a real blessing. The participation of the Parish Council, the Philoptochos, the Senior Choir, the Junior Choir, the Chanters, the Altar Boys and HOPE, JOY, GOYA and the Young Adults was amazing! The love and support of the stewards of our beloved Parish of the Annunciation was felt and expressed in worship and fellowship.
May the unwaning Light of the Resurrection illumine your heart and mind to always give glory to His Name. May Pascha 2013 be a time of renewed faith and love so that we may be more attentive in living our Christian Orthodox Faith and supporting the sacred work of our holy Church in America.
