The Saints Constantine & Helen parish offers many opportunities for youth involvement.
Our parish offers formalized programs for children grades kindergarten through high school and to our young adults.
HOPE (Holy Orthodox Primary Education) – This ministry is organized for the younger children from Kindergarten through 2nd grade. In the past, this group has enjoyed bowling, Indians games, harvest parties, and many more.
JOY (Junior Orthodox Youth) – This ministry is organized for children in 3rd through 6th grades. In the past, this group has enjoyed bowling events, sporting events, church sleep overs, and other activities.
GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America) – This dynamic ministry is organized for children 7th through 12th grades. This ministry gets our youth together for many social, religious, athletic and service-oriented events. Activities in the past have included: volley ball and basketball tournaments, dances, sporting events, sledding, church camp, retreats, guest speakers, and service events for Zelma George Shelter and St Herman’s Orthodox House of Hospitality.
Youth Retreats
The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh has an excellent program of youth retreats and summer camp for children ages 8-18 and for young adults. Details are announced periodically. Our parish hosts overnight sleepovers for our younger children during Lent.
Camp Nazareth
The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh offers four week long summer sessions at Camp Nazareth, in Mercer, PA. You can learn more about Camp Nazareth at our Metropolis website.
