Fish Fry Help Needed
We are in need of help this year. If you helped in the past, we are hopeful that we’ll see you again, if you haven’t been able to volunteer, we welcome you with open arms.
The Fish Fry benefits our church in many, many ways. It builds fellowship among our parishioners, all of the proceeds go directly to the Church, it serves as a major fundraiser for Philoptochos (pastries) and we further solidify our relationship with our surrounding community.
We are arguably the largest single-church Fish Fry in the area and our menu selection and quality are second to none. We served an average of 4.5 meals per minute last year with a weekly crew of about 50 dedicated church members and non-member friends of Sts. Constantine & Helen.
Please commit to at least one Friday (it only lasts three hours from 5-8pm) or even Thursday-evening prep. You’ll see what a wonderful endeavor the Fish Fry is. Our hope is that, like us, you’ll get hooked!
Please contact the Church office or Keith Cramer to volunteer (or just show up).
We’d like to thank all of our customers and our many, many dedicated volunteers who made 2017 another record setting year!
We look forward to seeing you!
Fish Fry Origins
Several years ago a group of our parishioners and friends got together to create a new outreach and fundraising event. What started out as a small experiment in faith, hospitality and camaraderie has blossomed into one of the largest and best known fish fries on the east side of Cleveland.
We pride ourselves in serving only the best, including our famous an all-you-can eat whitefish dinner. We also proudly serve entrees including walleye (baked or fried) , fantail shrimp, calamari and a Lenten-friendly offering as well.
All entrees include rice pilaf or fries, salad, roll and butter. We also serve clam chowder, mac-n-cheese, and delicious Greek Pastries!
We generally hold Friday evening services starting at 7:30 pm and you are invited to worship with us after your meal.
We can’t wait to see you again!
